Fundraising for Feedback

TLDR: You donate, we edit.

In 2023, Nicole Frail Edits raised $540 for The Trevor Project, the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through fundraising efforts then known as Dollars for Pages.

In 2024, we’ve donated $125 to the American Heart Association, and then we took a little break for a very chaotic summer. But now we’re back, and we’re ready with a new name—Fundraising for Feedback!—some new rules, and a new cause: one that is local (to us!) but no less important than the national organizations we’ve supported previously.

We are currently raising funds for…

Giving Back to the Community, Inc.

Fundraising efforts will run from September 11, 2024 to October 16, 2024. Please visit their Facebook page to learn more about this organization’s mission.

Here’s how it works:

Sound good? Donate below!

A few notes:

  • Don’t forget to forward your receipt to nicolefrailedits@gmail.com when you’re ready to book your pages.

  • Maximum pages to be assessed/edited are 15, but you may donate more than $15 if you’d like to.

  • If you've never worked with an editor before, this is the perfect opportunity to see what it’s like before hiring someone for a much bigger job.

  • Your work doesn't have to be ready to go at the time of donation. This can be saved for a rainy day. It can be applied to a future service (up to one year after the day the donation is made) or immediately cashed in. Using the pages immediately is subject to our schedules. We will fit you in as soon as we can.

  • You do not have to use the “credit” you receive from your donation. It can be gifted to another writer, or the donation can be made in their name.

  • Nicole Frail Edits is working with university interns who are enthusiastic about learning the ins and outs of the publishing industry. In the case where an intern is assigned your pages as part of their learning experience with Nicole Frail Edits, the pages will pass through me (Nicole Frail), as well, so you’ll essentially be receiving two rounds of assessment/edits for your one donation. Please be kind to my colleagues if they reach out to you with questions and feedback. We are all continually learning regardless of whether we are just starting out or have been at this for decades.
